We read in Exodus how God called Moses to deliver the Israelites from their bandage when they were in Egypt. And when God miraculously delivered them and on the bank of the Red Sea when they looked back they saw that the Egyptian army was pursuing them. They thought for a moment that they have come to the last day of their lives. They started crying out and started murmuring against God as we find in Exodus 14:13, "And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever."
Many a times when people come to Christ and try to walk with Him, the enemy comes in and brings so many problems, sin, sickness and heart breaking experiences in their lives. Sometimes it becomes unbearable for them and they go back to their old world. But Moses says to the Israelites, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever."
You may be going through such a situation when everything looks impossible and hopeless. You may be battling with sin, temptations, sicknesses, bereavement or heartbreaking experiences, but today God wants to tell you that, "You need not to fear of anything because the enemy you are facing today, you will never see again." No matter what your problem may be look to Jesus, He will abolish those problems from your life forever and you will see it no more forever. Your deliverance has come, stand still and look forward to see the mighty deeds of God that He is going to do in your life.
Israelites saw the mighty deeds and mighty deliverance of God but still when they were in the wilderness they thought about the little –little things, which they had in their lives before, and it made their lives miserable.
Numbers 11:5-6, "We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!"
Sometimes we do the same thing, we forget the blessings and goodness of God and start thinking, "we had a good life before we accepted Jesus. We had everything but now we are suffering…" We murmur, murmur and murmur but it never brings any blessings in our lives. Israelites murmured and died in the wilderness. So why should we murmur and lose our lives? Forget the past things and look forward, because God has planned a glorious future for His children. If you look to Him, He will never let you down but He will exalt you before others.
Cross of Jesus Christ
By Vinod Isaac
1 Peter 2:24, "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed." 1 Peter 2:25, "For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."
Dead Comes Alive:
Bibles says in 1 Peter 2:24 that Jesus bore our sins in His own body so that we who were dead because of sin could live for righteousness. What does it mean? It simply means is that sin brings death as it is written in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Do you see the difference between sin and Jesus Christ? Sin brings death but Jesus Christ God's son brings eternal life."
Jesus said in John 3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Again in John 10:10-11, "Jesus gives life and that also more abundantly and to provide that life for you and me He gives His life for us." John 10:10, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:11, "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."
What ever surrounds sin is misery, sickness, death and so on but what ever surrounds Jesus is goodness, righteousness, blessings, eternal life. What a difference!!!
Do you say that you are not able to come out of sinful habits? Do you say that you are slave to sin? Are struggling with problems? Are you not able to lead a Holy life? Look to Jesus He will gladly forgive you of your sins and wash you with His precious blood He shed on the Cross.
Yes Life, righteousness and blessings flow from Lord Jesus Christ because He Himself bore our sins and gave His life for us on the Cross.
Healing Comes from the Cross:
1 Pet 2:24 says that "by whose stripes you were healed" Also Isaiah 53:5 says the same thing "with his stripes we are healed" Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
When Jesus was in this world He healed the sick, raised the dead and did cast out demons. He gave to His disciples the same authority to heal the sick.
Mark 3:14, "And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach, Mark 3:15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:"
Yes the God we serve does not rejoice in our sickness. Instead He wants to heal us and restore us. What a great God we serve. He not only brings us out of our sins but he also heals our body. This is what He says in Exodus 15:26, "For I am the LORD who heals you."
He who overcomes will inherit heaven
By Sheela Isaac
Rev 3:12 "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
Rev 3:21 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Rev 21:7 "He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
These are the great promises from God for a believer. Please note that it is not for an unsaved person or for those who do not know Christ personally, but for those who have accepted Christ Jesus in their hearts as their Lord and Savior. Getting saved is a very easy thing. It is so simple, that anybody and everybody can have this experience.
As I wrote in the last weeks message too. No other religion has ever claimed the assurance of salvation. On 19th Oct. on sky angel TV. I watched a stunning debate, Muslim v/s Christian between Shabeer Ali and J. Smith. J. Smith did very well in the debate and could prove that "Jesus is the true Messiah."
When a question was asked to Shabeer Ali about "assurance of reaching heaven" his answer was "no one can know surely about that, it is upon Alla it is his grace whom he wants to send to heaven or to hell." It clearly means that Islam cannot lead any to salvation. Islam can not give any assurance about heaven.
Another thing he said looked very strange. He said that Muslims believe that in paradise there will be a wine to drink and can have sex with women. It means Muslims are waiting for such a paradise.
Well frankly talking I never and never want to go to such a filthy and dirty paradise. I am not looking for such paradise (heaven). We Christians are waiting for a paradise (heaven) which Jesus is preparing for His people, the holy place the sanctified place where there is no filth, or any kind of dirt. There will be joy and peace for ever and ever. There will be no sorrow, no pain, no tears, no torture of any kind.
Rev 21:2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, Rev 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.
Rev 21:4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
What a great place Jesus is preparing for you and me. Don't you want to go there? Bible says that it is a place where streets are made of pure gold. Don't you want to walk on those roads? Get yourself prepare for the day and for that place. Bible says that only blood washed and saved people will walk in this holy place and others will not.
Rev 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Rev 7:14 And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Yes my friend, this is the only way to reach heaven. Only the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from all sin (1 John 1:7). We can inherit heaven only through the shed blood of the lamb. Do you have that assurance? Have you ever prayed and confessed your sins before Lord Jesus? Have you ever pleaded before Lord Jesus to get a place in heaven? If not this is the time, this is the hour, when that great salvation is available. This is the time to repent before Jesus from your sins and get rid of all the sins.
The lives of those who received Him were never the same again. They lived for Christ and they even died for their testimony. Yes He is the true Messiah who can save you and me from hell fire. If we see in Bible we find many examples, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the gospel, who lived for Christ till the end and even died for the cause of gospel.
Read about Peter who was a coward who even denied Jesus three times before a servant girl. But later on the same Peter proclaimed the Gospel boldly and even he died for that. History says that they crucified him on the cross upside down. Read about Stephen who died for the cause of the Gospel, why because he knew that Jesus is the true Messiah. He knew that only Jesus could save one from hell fire. People stoned him to death.
Yes my friend they did not die in vain. They did not stake their lives for nothing. They knew their destiny. They knew whom they served and knew where they are going. This is the assurance that Jesus gives to you and to me. When you accept Christ He gives the same assurance to us, that not only do we get deliverance from our sins in this life, but also the assurance about the life to come after death. We will live and reign with Christ for ever and ever. What a great hope. Don't you ever miss this great salvation.
May God help you to find Him in time.
