Isaiah 43:1-2, "But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you."

These verse say about the loving care of our Savior. Not only does He save us from our sins and give us a status as His sons and daughters but also He cares for us. He says, "no matter what you have to go through, may be you have to go through deep waters but those rivers shall not overflow you and when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you." Difficulties may come, sicknesses may come, sorrows may come, bereavement may come, and in those situations He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will walk with you and pull you out from those situations and will wipe away all your tears.

Once I read a true story of a man of God. One night he dreamt a dream that he was walking along the beach with Jesus. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from his life. In each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One is belonging to him and other to Jesus. When the last scene of his life shot before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand and noticed only one set of footprints. He realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of his life. This bothered him and he questioned the Lord about his dilemma, "Lord, you told me when I decided to follow you that You would walk with me and be with me always. But during the most troublesome time of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just do not understand why? When I needed you most, you left me?" He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never ever. During your trials and testing where you see only one set of footprints, it was when I was carrying you. The footprints you see is not yours but mine."

Where he could not walk himself in those places, when he thought it was the toughest moment of his life and when he thought, "I can not make it." Jesus carried him and made him go through those problems. Yes, my friend, You may be going through toughest times of your life, but if you are a child of God, if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then He will never allow you to be drowned in the water nor will He allow you to be burned by fire. He will walk with you and whenever you are unable to walk, He will carry you and make you go through unharmed. So be of good cheer, He will never let you down, no matter what you are going through today. You have a bright future for tomorrow. These trials and temptations are only for sometime and after that a glorious future is awaiting you.

Happy Home

By Sherly Isaac

Who do not like to have a happy home? Everyone wants to live happily and peacefully but how many get a happy home? I think 99% of the people miss a happy and peaceful home. They end up in mess and brokenness. And sometimes people think, "it is impossible to have a happy and peaceful home." Yes, it is impossible without Jesus but it is possible with Jesus. Let us see from the Bible how we can have a happy, peaceful and blessed home.

1. God wants you to be in family with His blessings:

God created Adam and put him in the Garden of Eden and brought all the animals before him that he may name them. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. (Genesis 2:20)

And God said in Genesis 2:18, And the LORD God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."

God had concern for Adam, He could not see him alone and so He made a way out. Family life is instituted by God and He put Adam and Eve together. It is not His plan that a person or couple may take divorce. We read in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." If they are one flesh then how can they be separated from each other? So if you are a married person, you come under the perfect will of God and you have no authority to get separated from each other. If you are not married then wait and ask God to show the right person for you.

And God created Eve from the rib of Adam and God blessed them both by these words, "Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." (Genesis 1:28)

Yes, this was the first marriage which took place in this world and it started with the blessings of God. But today, how many times people never care about taking blessings from God. Many never consult God asking what His will is for their lives. They marry but those marriages end up in mess and tears. Without the blessings of God you can not achieve any good results. God wants to bless you and your married life. If you ask Him to come into your home, He will gladly come and bless your home.

2. Prayer makes difference:

We read a story of a woman called, "Hannah", who was totally broken and in tears in 1 Samuel chapter 1. She had no children. She shed bitter tears because of this as her rival Peninnah provoked her severely to make her miserable. We can imagine how miserable it would have been in her family life. She had a loving husband but no children and it bothered her a lot. In India if a woman does not have any children then she is treated as a second class citizen from her husband and in-laws and also she does not get any respect from the society. Hannah might have been in this condition.

But something changed her life dramatically. What was that thing? We read in 1 Samuel 1:10, "And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD and wept in anguish."

When they went to the house of God, she prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish. She poured out her heart before God as we read in Lamentations 2:19, "Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, Who faint from hunger at the head of every street."

She did the same thing. She poured her heart like water before the face of the Lord and her one prayer made a great difference. She got a child from God miraculously. How many times when problems come, we forget to pray to God. We go to others and share our problems but Hannah shed tears at the feet of God and got her miracle. My dear parents do you find that your children are gone astray and living a bad life? Do you think you are unable to control your children? Are you at the brink of divorce. You may be thinking that there is no hope for you. If you are going through problems in your family look to Jesus, He can help you. The same God who helped Hannah to come out of her bitterness and pain and enabled her to rejoice can help you too. Just pour out your heart before Him and tell Him your pain, sorrows and the things which are bothering you.

May God bless you!

Praise Him.....

I requested prayer about 1 - 2 months ago for my husband and our marriage. He had quit going to church and then said that we needed to separate. And then he started drinking and going to bars. He finally said he thought we should get a divorce.

I want to let you know that he has now quit drinking and has decided that he wants me back as his wife, we've had one counselling session with our preacher so far, but my husband has not started back to church yet.

I wanted to let you know that God is moving in our lives and wanted to ask you to continue praying for my husband and our marriage. I believe God is doing something here and I know when He gets finished it will be wonderful.

Thank you so much.
