1 Pet 5:7, "casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."

There is a God who cares for you. We see from the life of David how God blessed him so marvelously. He was considered least in his family. His brothers were in the army but he was a poor shepherd. In the eyes of his father and his brothers he was a second class member in their home. But God chose him to be the king of Israel. It was not the end of his problems but the was beginning. He had to run for his life. He ran from one mountain to another, from one cave to another. Finally he broke down and says to Jonathan, Saul’s son, "Your father certainly knows that I have found favor in your eyes, and he has said, 'Do not let Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved.' But truly, as the LORD lives and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death." (1 Samuel 20:3)

On the one side God anointed David to be king of Israel but on the other side he was totally broken, thinking, "Death is at my door step." Yes, my friend, you may be in such a situation today. You may be thinking, "everything is over… my life is over, my future is over… I am at the brink of death and destruction." May be you are going through much pain and sorrow and it may seam to you that, you may never be able to come out of your problems. May be sicknesses and bereavement has destroyed all your peace and you may be thinking, "How will I be able to come out of this?"

David not only ran for his life but was also worried about his future and he might have thought, "my future is over". But Abigail says to him in 1 Samuel 25:28, "Please forgive the trespass of your maidservant. For the LORD will certainly make for my lord an enduring house, because my lord fights the battles of the LORD, and evil is not found in you throughout your days.

1 Sam 25:29 "Yet a man has risen to pursue you and seek your life, but the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with the LORD your God; and the lives of your enemies He shall sling out, as from the pocket of a sling.

David went through tears and worries of life. Many a time I think and wonder, "why Saul – the king of Israel who had all the might and power could not catch David?" Because God was with him and God never forgot His promises. God blessed His life and one day He became the King of Israel. God built his enduring home and blessed his future.

Yes, my friend, There is a God who cares for you and wants to bless you and your future. No matter what your situation may be today, look to Him. He will wipe away all your tears and will give you peace, joy and happiness that this world can not give.

Never Look back!

By Sherly Isaac

Genesis 19th Chapter says about Lot, a man who lived among sodomites, homosexuals and those who hated God and His ways. Lot and his family were living among them and God decided to destroy the land of Sodom. But Lot was righteous in the eyes of God. So God delivered him and his family from destruction. God sent His angels and said to Lot in Genesis 19:12, "Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city; take them out of this place!"

Genesis 19:13 "For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it."
Genesis 19:16 And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife's hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.
Genesis 19:17 So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed."

Lot, his two daughters and his wife came out from that city and started their journey but Lot’s wife could not resist looking back and destroyed herself as we read in Genesis 19:24-26 Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, out of the heavens. So He overthrew those cities, all the plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and what grew on the ground. But his wife looked back, and so she became a pillar of salt."

Today God wants to tell us never to look back.

Never look back to your past sinful nature:

Once we are saved from our sins, we are told not to look back; but how many times we try to look back to our past. Devil comes and tells, "you were living nicely before getting saved.... You lost everything when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You had everything in your life but look how much you are suffering today." He tries to bring the same temptations from which we were delivered. When he comes, tell him, "devil, you are a liar. You have nothing to do with my past... my past is buried with Christ. I do not belong to my past sinful nature but I am looking forward to go to new hights with Christ." Do not think about your past sins. Never give room to devil and his plans. And do not allow him to destroy your life. Let God burn down your past with His fire. Allow God to work in your past.

Never look back to your past hurts and pains:

Once you have come out from Sodom, your past is buried there. Jesus has wiped away all your sins and all your past. You might have gone through much hurts and pains in the past; but all these are buried with Christ. Do not dig it and bring it up again and again. But let God’s fire come upon you and burn down your past hurts and painful thoughts. Let God’s peace that passes all understanding rule in your hearts and in your lives.

Forget your past and start a new beginning with Christ, who brought you out of Sodom, never to look back… Paul says in Hebrew 12:1-2, "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

God will help us to run the race as He helped Paul to run and finish the race.

May God bless you!

Praise Him...

Yemen Case Update

Dear Friends...Encouraging News From Yemen! Many thanks to all of you who have so faithfully prayed for Mohammed Omer Haji, who was charged in Aden on July 5th for committing apostasy by converting to Christianity. He was given a seven day ultimatum to recant his faith or face execution. The hearing of July 12th was then postponed to July 19th. Mohammed did not appear in court as scheduled yesterday morning. Instead, his defence lawyers were told by the judge that the case remained in the hands of the attorney general. Mohammed's defence lawyer is reportedly of the opinion that the chief prosecutor is looking for an out-of-court settlement. Yemeni government sources have allegedly said that a deportation order has been issued against Mohammed. The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in Aden, however, are pressing for Mohammed and his family to be resettled in a country other than his native Somalia. The United Nations has no existing mission in Somalia and as a known apostate in a hard-line Muslim country, he could be under threat for his faith, with no protection. Praise God for this turn of events and please continue to pray that Mohammed and his family would be resettled in a safe place as quickly as possible. Thanks again for all your concern.

Please pray for our marriage. I don't understand what my husband is doing, He says he loves me and wants to be with me BUT there is something he has to do. He says he loves another woman and wants to see her and maybe stay over night at her house.. I feel like I'm the one who is insane. Please pray that he gets that idea out of his mind and begins to work on our marriage together. also please pray that (Heather, the other woman) leaves him alone and breaks it off with him before anything happens.
