John 10:10, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."
Jesus said these verses and He meant it. He came in this world not only to give us life but in more abundance. What does it mean? Does it mean that we are lifeless? Yes, Bible says in Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." and also in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." We are dead in spirit though we are looking alive from the outside. We are walking, talking and eating but we are dead in spirit because of our sinful and corrupt nature which is flowing in our blood through Adam from generation to generation.
That’s why Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Yes, It was not at all possible for us to come out from our sin or sinful nature. But Jesus came into this world and He took all our sins on the cruel cross and shed His precious blood for me, for you and for the whole world. But do you think that because Jesus did all this for us, we need not to do anything? No, we have to do something. In John 3:3 we see that, Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." I know many people have problem with this verse. But do you not think, it important when Jesus is speaking about it to be born again?
When a person repents from his/her sins and accepts Jesus in his/her life, Jesus gives a new life. He washes all the sins which you have committed no matter how big or small it may be. He removes all the guilt, sin and shame and fills our hearts with His peace, joy and happiness that the world can not give. Yes, Jesus came to give you this wonderful life. He does not want you to be in misery, in pain or in guilt but He wants to give you a life full of peace and happiness. Not only that, He wants to bless you spiritually and also He wants to bless you materially and physically. Just look to Him and invite Him in your life and you will never be the same again.
A Dialogue
By Sherly Isaac
Question:
I have a question for you. Do you believe that the sign gifts are manifested through people today? What I'm talking about mainly is healing by the laying on of hands?
Answer:
You asked a very tough question... but I will try to prove it from Bible the living word of God…
When I was sixteen I was almost crippled. Doctors said we could not do anything more for you. I can not forget the day when my family members stood beside my bed and looked at me helplessly. In those desperate moments I prayed if there is a living God. Please help me and I prayed, if you will heal me completely I will serve you and tell the whole world that there is a God who can heal us and can wipe our tears...
Guess what within few weeks I was healed completely and started walking normally not only that Jesus washed all my sins and gave me a new life. Dear brother, years passed by and I never saw that sickness in my life again...If He can heal a wretched person like me, why not He can heal anyone who calls His name?
Bible says in Mark 16:17-18, "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
Response:
That's a great story, Let me tell you, God performed a healing on me this past weekend. I came down with a serious respiratory infection at the end of last week, and still am suffering some of the after-effects. My main problem was a terrible fever that I just could not shake. I had a body temp for 2 days of 102-104 degrees F, and my mind was highly impaired. I could not keep any food down, and I really felt like something terrible was happening to me. I tried to bundle up for 2 days and "sweat" the fever off, but just couldn't do it. I kept drifting in and out of sleep.
When I'd sleep, I had some really troubling dreams. They centered around the fact that I was a Christian, and that evil forces were telling me to give up, and I'd feel better. I was really troubled by these dreams, and finally I laid in my bed and told those forces to leave me at once, in the name of Jesus of Nazareth. I said this over and over until I fell asleep again, praying to God to remove this demon from my presence. You know what? I woke up about 1 hour later covered in sweat, with my fever completely gone!
I praised God from the depths of my heart with tears in my eyes. Only He can do that, and I'm convinced in the healing power of prayer. Also, let me tell you that it is very uplifting to us American Christians to see others from outside our borders professing and teaching about Christ. Many people have come to associate Christianity with America, but Christianity is indeed for the whole world. We American Christians as a whole have compromised our morals and doctrines to fit those of the popular western culture in many ways, it is nothing short of a shame. There is a great majority of Americans who profess to be Christians, but when it comes to putting their lives on the line for the Gospel, they stop short. You would not find many who would give their lives to mission work in countries unfriendly to Christianity, which is something I plan to do one day full time.
I'd just like to say how much I appreciate your testimony, and I urge you to keep up your good work, as you will be rewarded beyond our human comprehension one day with a blissful eternity with our Creator.

Tortured in the Arab Emirates - Need Help
Beloved in Christ,
An appeal for financial help for a Christian, who is being tortured in the Arab Emirates "Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again" (Luke 6:38)
My name is Shaji George, age 39, Indian, working in the United Arab Emirates since 1996. I stay with my wife Annie, daughter Mayacah and son Yoshua. My profession is "accountant" and was serving a local Arab. My Arab sponsor and his family came to know that I am a born again Christian from India. Though I was offered yearly ticket and benefits along with my family to my home in India, I was not allowed at any time nor any pay revision since I joined. On April 1999, my employer stopped the monthly pay without any reason but asked me to hand-over my responsibilities to a senior officer. I continued to do as what they wanted till December 1999.
Meanwhile we found that one of the employees absconded with about $. 70,000/-. The employer tried to put the blame on me on June 1999, which I denied and they did not complaint to any authorities about the missing amount. Mean while, as I found much difficulty in living in this part of Middle East with family, I asked my employer to provide me with my monthly pay. As there was no response to several reminders and request, I approached the Labor department and filed my complaint and requested their assistance in helping me to find another job and releasing my pay dues and benefits. My employer responded the Labor Officer's query with a case filed against me on 22 Jan 2000, stating that I embezzled $. 70,000/- and stopped the Labor department's proceedings!!!!
Now I have to defend myself in the court and prove my innocence and fight for my rights. This require finance worth about $.15,000/- towards the court expenses and legal assistance. I will be much obliged in Christ Jesus, if you can support my "urgent" need with any support as you can as a LOAN. Please provide me all your necessary contacts so that I can pay you back as soon as possible. Thank you very much for your attention to my request note.
Love in Jesus Christ Shaji George

Emergency Prayer Request for persecuted Copts (Egpyptian Christians)
Our Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We need your help. We need your support and prayers. We cannot keep silent. We have to do something. By faith we can see the invisible, believe the incredible, and receive the impossible. The New Year Massacre of Christians in Egypt Between December 31, 1999 and January 3, 2000 a wave of hatred toward Christians exploded in a shooting spree in the village of El-Kosheh and nearby villages in Upper Egypt that resulted in the deaths of unarmed, peaceful Christians. Egyptian Muslims killed more than twenty Christians and left more than thirty-six gravely wounded. The Muslims continued their barbaric rampage by burning down a Coptic Church, looting Christian stores, and setting ablaze many Christian homes and businesses.
These violent actions were the bloodiest by Muslims against Christians in recent years. As bad as they were, however, they were not new to El-Kosheh. In 1998, Egyptian police arrested over one thousand two hundred Copts from El-Kosheh and subjected them to torture in order to extract confessions to crimes they didn't commit. The officers, who were responsible for the police brutality, were not charged; some incredibly were promoted.
Despite full and complete knowledge of these multiple acts of brutality, the Egyptian Government has taken no action against the local appointed governor and the head of police to prevent such massacres.
Christian Copts throughout the world ask the U.S. Government and its freedom-loving people to stand with us in El-Kosheh, and all over Egypt. We must work to defend their right to live in security, equality and dignity.
